HOW YOUR RENT WAS SPENT IN 2009 Image

For every £1 of rent, we spend 40p on Property Maintenance, 25p on Head Office & Finance, 20p on Housing Management; 10p is Re-invested in New Properties & 5p on Interest Payable.

The 40p for property maintenance helped pay for:-

• Over 100 new bathrooms,
• New central heating at 13 properties,
• New electric storage heating at 34 properties,
• New roofs at Sutcliffe Buildings and Delaney Court,
• Responsive & empty property repairs.

The 10p re-invested in new properties in 2009, saw LYHA increasing its portfolio by 13,

• 7 three bedroom houses in Morley,
• 4 one bedded flats in Sutton-In-Craven,
• 2 basement flats in Whitby.
• 2009 also saw the start of the re-development on Valley Court.
