This depends of where the tenant lives. Some estates and schemes have communal gardens, which are looked after by our own gardeners or by contractors. Most houses will have their own garden, which is the responsibility of the tenant.
We ask tenants who have old furniture or bulky items of rubbish to contact the local council. Most council's will remove bulky items free of charge.

Our gardeners are qualified in the use of weed pesticide spraying and chainsaw use, have all attended risk assessment and customer excellence training, and work on various LYHA estates around the Leeds area.

We also have external gardening and caretaking contractors working at LYHA schemes such as Whitby, Scarborough, Settle, and Mirfield, as well as larger schemes around Leeds.
